People around us struggle long before anyone calls it a crisis. Emotional First Aid is an educational wellness course that teaches you to recognize signs of emotional distress, listen actively, communicate supportively, set healthy boundaries, and recognize when professional support may be needed — for others, and for yourself.
This course gives everyday people practical, responsible supportive-communication skills: what to say, what not to say, and what to do next. It is educational — not psychotherapy, counselling, crisis treatment or clinical mental health care — and completing it does not qualify you as a mental-health professional.
Emotional First Aid is an educational program. It is not psychotherapy, counselling, crisis treatment or clinical mental health care, and it does not qualify learners as mental-health professionals. In an emergency, always call 911.
