First Aid Responder is committed to a website and training experience that people of all abilities can use.
Plain-language policy
This is a practical starter policy written in plain language. It is not legal advice; specific marked items are finalized as business practices are confirmed and reviewed.
Our commitment
We aim for WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance on this website, consistent with our obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). That includes semantic page structure, keyboard-navigable menus and forms, visible focus states, sufficient colour contrast, text alternatives for meaningful images, and forms with clear labels and error messages.
Training accommodations
First aid training is physical, but we work with learners who have disabilities or injuries to find reasonable ways to demonstrate skills. Tell us about your needs when you register or contact us in advance — early notice gives us the best chance to accommodate you well.
Known limitations
Accessibility is ongoing work. If you hit a barrier on this site — something you can’t read, reach or operate — we want to know. [REVIEW: maintain this section as audits are completed.]
Feedback
Contact us through the form on our contact page with “Accessibility” as the topic. We review accessibility feedback promptly and will work with you on an accessible alternative.
